The Walk­er Art Cen­ter and Prin­ted Mat­ter (NY) are team­ing up to cre­ate an artist book out­reach pro­gram of sorts, bring­ing the best of con­tem­por­ary art­works-for-the-page to the Mid­w­est. In col­lab­or­a­tion with the Walker’s book buy­er Paul Schu­mach­er, Prin­ted Mat­ter will cur­ate a selec­tion of con­tem­por­ary artist books, zines, and pub­lic­a­tions which will be dis­played in an artist-designed book­shelf in the Walk­er Shop. As part of their mis­sion, Prin­ted Mat­ter is look­ing for ways to spread what they do out­side of NY, and this shelf will be the first in a series of shelves with oth­er part­ners across the coun­try…
